Central University, Haryana has always aspired for a holistic and inclusive growth of the individuals as well as the society and hence, today it has earned the reputation of an emerging higher education institution in the region. Established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India in XI Five Year Plan (2007-2012) under the Central University Act-2009, the varsity has regularly been investing in human resources, creating processes and managing funds judiciously. The university recognizes the ‘resolve’ exhibited by its employees, students and other contributing stakeholders who ensured a 360-degree growth in fostering various initiatives, for a robust administrative and academic environment. It has stood firm to the growing demands by pursuing a synergetic and coherent structure including a meticulous mechanism of the evaluation and examination processes. It is worth underlining the student mentoring and counselling initiatives to remain of prime consideration in the future also aimed towards relieving the students from the present mental stress, besides providing them insights into future career prospects.
The National Education Policy’ 2020 has arrived as a harbinger which directs for emphasis on imparting greater autonomy, skill development, inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary learning, stakeholder engagement towards fostering self-sustenance. The swiftness exhibited by the University towards implementing it in its true essence, while it aims at developing a ‘knowledge and talent pool’ and its subsequent dissemination, showcased in form of various conferences, seminars, workshops and symposiums being regularly organized. In future, the varsity aims to strive for academic upgradation and its unrelenting amalgamation with emerging information technology techniques and software is required to be rigorously followed to meet the future uncertainties. This will be achieved through a robust decision making system, which is based on Transparency, Integrity, Accountability, Empathy and Teamwork. CUH ambitions for an upward societal transformation with visible socio-economic changes through higher education percolation and development of the society and the nation.
The CUH would remain adaptive to new ideas and strategies to meet and remain relevant to the growing aspirations of our young India by aiming at initiatives like start-ups and incubation centres, human development centres, offering facilities for competitive examination preparation, women empowerment, social development and environmental protection to be enhanced for exploring new horizons in higher education and research. Thus I take this opportunity to invite you to be a part of this ‘young, exuberant and illustrious’ CUH’s odyssey for building an academically elite, professionally sound and socially empowering institutional structure which remains flexible and fundamentally strong to face the upcoming environmental challenges.
