About the Cell
The Mandate of SC/ST Cell is to ensure, protect and promote the interest of persons belonging to SC/ST Category.

Functions
To inform and assist students to avail various scholarship provided by the Government.
To sensitize the university community towards specific needs of the persons belonging to SC/ST category.
To formulate and execute policies for the capability development of persons belonging to SC/ST category, like basic computer skills and remedial language classes.
To make available various laws and regulations related to welfare scheme and mechanism for persons belonging to SC/ST category.
The cell addresses the issues and complaints involving, discrimination and unequal opportunities at CUH campus by persons belonging to SC/ST categories.
Activities/ Events Organized by the SC/ST Cell
Organized a public discussion on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on 13th April, 2015 (Monday) on the topic ‘Role of Caste in the Changing Political-Economic Landscape of India’. Prof. Surajit Mazumdar, CESP/SSS JNU, New Delhi was the key speaker for event.
Organized a public discussion on International Workers Day (May Day) on 1st May, 2015 on the topic “Globalisation and Liberalisation: Impact on Labour and Labour Movement in India”. Mr. Rahul Roy, Director of documentary “The FACTORY” and Dr. Dhiraj Kumar Nite, Ambedkar Universtiy, Delhi was the key speaker for the event.
