Prof. Sushma Yadav

Prof. Sushma Yadava is Presently Pro Vice-Chancellor Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh, Haryana & Member of Justice K.G. Balakrishnan Commission of Inquiry, New Delhi. She is also chairperson, CARE Empowered Committee of UGC, New Delhi and Member, Appeals Committee of NAAC, Bangalore. Earlier, She has been Member of University Grants Commission, New Delhi (2017-22); Vice-Chancellor, Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat.(2018-21); Member of Press Council of India. (2017-2020); Pro Vice-Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi; Professor of Public Policy & Governance at Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New Delhi. (2009-2020); Chair Professor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Chair at IIPA. (2005-2013)

She has been Chairperson, Governing Body, College of Vocational Studies, university of Delhi,(2014-15); Founder President of National Social Science Association (RSVP now Rashtriya Samaj Vigyan Parishad, (2008-2018); President of Indian Political Science Association, (2014- 2016); Coordinator, India International Political Science Association; Research Committee on Rethinking Political Development, (2010-2013); Coordinator Working Groups on SCs for the 12th Plan Approach Paper, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India, Member of the Governing Body, Indian Social Institute, New Delhi; Chairperson/Member Peer Team, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Bangalore.

She has been A topper of Delhi University, Prof. Sushma Yadava has to her credit more than 15 books and several research papers in national and international journals Books taught in Delhi colleges (DRC & DCAC) for 25 years before shifting to IIPA as Professor, Dr. Ambedkar chair in Social Justice and then as Professor of Public Policy and Governance at IIPA (2005-2020).

She has played significant role in planning, implementation and evaluation of policies and academic activities as Chancellor’s nominee, visitor’s nominee and Member of Finance Committee, Academic Council and Executive Council of a number of Central and State Universities.

She was visitors to University of Delhi, Jawaharlal JNU New Delhi, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) New Delhi, Governor’s Nominee at MDU, IGU, CDLU and KUK, Dibrugarh University etc.

Prof. Sushma Yadava has received a number of prestigious awards like:
