Subject based Network: Environmental Microbiology

Rationale: The School of Life Sciences (SLS) was established in June 2015 with the aim to improve the quality of life, environment, food, energy with teaching and research in the area of (Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry and Nutrition Biology). The main aim is to create trained manpower which will contribute for the benefit of mankind. To meet the challenges and impart theoretical as well as applied research oriented training to the Master’s and Doctoral students are carrying out in each Department. The School of Life Sciences (SLS) want to contribute towards the development of the Nation building by providing quality teaching, training to the aspiring researchers and scientists.

Objectives:

To create database for the subject of Environment Microbiology in higher education.
To offer theoretical as well as applied research-oriented training to the Masters’ and Doctoral students.
To cultivate subject related resources for teacher and professionals of higher education
To perform quality teaching focusing on Environment Microbiology oriented fields using electronic support like e-PG and MOOCs.
To provide quality teaching to the students through audio-visual aids and hands-on-training in different areas.
To publicize updated subject-wise material to the professionals.
To convey social, ethical, and professional awareness among the students about various issues of contemporary practices in Environment Microbiology and related fields.
