Central University of Haryana
The Movie Club
A Movie Club has been set up at CUH with the aim of providing students with an additional avenue of
experiencing all-round and holistic education through the powerful visual medium, which is today a
multi-billion dollar industry. By screening movies directed by world acclaimed film directors from
India and abroad, pertaining to various facets of history, philosophy, social & economic development,
science & science fiction, special photographic techniques, music and oratory, we can introduce
students to wide-ranging knowledge through the world of entertainment. Indeed, such a facility will be
cherished by students, enabling them to be better educated citizens. Most educational institutions of
high calibre, in India and abroad, encourage film appreciation clubs as an important vehicle of
education and all-round development of students.
