Greetings from ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ office, Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh. To commemorate the monumental occasion of 75th Anniversary of Indian Independence, all Department and Ministries are hosting a set of activities for a resurgent, Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Therefore, the Central University of Haryana has started celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on 12th March, 2021 by organising the inaugural event which reflects the different efforts for getting independence by our freedom fighters. A Colloquium on the theme, “Azadi” was organised on 18th May, 2021 jointly by Department of Management Studies and Cell for Person with Disabilities. A National Webinar on Trends in Processed Food in Post-Independence India was organised on 24th May, 2021 by School of Interdisciplinary and Applied Sciences. A national level Workshop was organised on 29th May, 2021which includes hand on experience on RT-PCR testing kit and sanitizer. In this workshop a video prepared by WHO was shown on the theme of Covid-19 spreading. This event was organised by Department of Chemistry. A National Level: Lecture cum Discussion was organised on 2nd June, 2021 by Department of Physics on the theme, Radio isotope technology for cancer treatment and on post-independence scenario of Renewable energy resources in India. In continuation of the organising events a Training on Skill development training programme for Aatmanirbhar Bharat was organised for three days from 8 June 2021 to 10 June, 2021 by Department of Vocational Studies and Skill Development. On 11 June, 2021 the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication has organised the event on the theme, 75 Years of Independence and Media. An event on Mera Abhiman: Meri Boli was organised on 16th June, 2021 by Department of English and foreign Languages and Department of Hindi. On International Yoga Day the Aasan Practices were conducted by NSS team of the university. It was a five days event. Then a Workshop on Jaagrukta Abhiyan (for Covid-19 appropriate behavior) was organised on 23rd June, 2021. Where a speech on the theme, “Mentoring and Monitoring of Mental Health for Students of Higher Education: An essential component of NEP 2020” was there. One Sensitization Activities were conducted on COVID appropriate behaviour and Vaccination:- "Safai Bhi, Dawai Bhi, Kadai Bhi, Standard precautions: Hand hygiene and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) for COVID-19 Virus. This event was jointly organised by Department of Psychology and Cell for Person with Disabilities. A Workshop on Developing computer codes during online learning was organised on 24 June, 2021 by Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering & Technology. An online National Quiz on Inclusive Education and NEP 2020 in continued by Cell for Person with Disabilities.
